Act 1 Entertainment, a Long Island Promoter in Conjunction With Tailgator's Sports Bar & BigDaddy's Sizzlin Jam Puts on a Show to Benefit The Lighthouse Mission, 54 Railroad Ave. Patchogue, NY 11772

The Lighthouse and the heart of the Mission..... In January of ‘92 their street ministry began by handing out ten bologna and cheese sandwiches to the hungry. It began with a vision from God to go feed the poor. Today they are feeding over 1000 people a week, giving out about 350,000 meals to people who have a need. Poverty on Long Island is on the rise due to the increase of the high cost of living (housing, rent, heat, food, etc). Statistics show that approximately 40,000 children on Long Island are living below the poverty line and 100,000 children in Suffolk County alone depend on food pantries. This number increases daily. The heart of the people at the Mission is to reach out to others and see that no child will go to bed hungry. Working TOGETHER can make a difference in someone's life that is crying out for help. www.lighthousemission.net

Subject: BigDaddy and the Lighthouse Mission

I don't know if you caught BigDaddy on News 12 the other night but there was mention of a Fundraiser Jam Session on Saturday February 18 for the Lighthouse Mission in Patchogue. A friend of mine helps out at the mission and invited me down today to minister in song during their service this morning. I was amazed to see so many people in need. I'm sure many are homeless but I'm told that so many might have homes but not enough money to eat or feed their families. I saw families with young children who have genuine needs. I heard talk of helping people without Health Insurance. I felt like I take so much for granted. It's expensive to live on Long Island and I complain all the time but when you see people that have real problems just to eat it makes my problems seem like nothing.

This past year has seen quite a few Fundraisers for people in other countries and other states. We will have an opportunity to help out people right in our own backyards. This Mission and the people who
dedicate there time there is a worthy cause to support. And I applaud BigDaddy for bringing this need to our attention. Let's show Long Island that the Music Community here is alive and well and
that we care for our own and come out and support this cause!
