WebAssist today announced the release of WA SiteAssist 2.0, the latest version of their acclaimed website creator integrated into Adobe Dreamweaver. New features in WA SiteAssist help designers rapidly build a wider range of kinds of sites, with a more varied designs and navigation.

With the release of WA SiteAssist 2.0, WebAssist has paved the way for website professionals to create more sophisticated, better designed, complete sites. WA SiteAssist is an extension for Adobe Dreamweaver that generates a completely integrated, navigable site. The four-step wizard guides users through the process and offers them a range of site types, each complete with a variety of professionally crafted page layouts, CSS styles, navigation set-ups and color schemes. Once the site is generated, designers add the desired content and are ready to publish.

New features in WA SiteAssist 2.0 include the ability to select from a wide variety of targeted site types. A site type is a default collection of the web pages comprising the site. The new release includes a full range of industry specific site types which allow designers to create sites specifically for associations, corporations, educators, medical professionals, real estate concerns and many others. Once the site type is selected, designers have the opportunity to customize these pages in the WA SiteAssist wizard.

WA SiteAssist’s designs have been extended and re-engineered for the 2.0 release. A more diverse set of designs have been created by WebAssist’s Creative Director and acclaimed artist Lisa Lopuck. All WA SiteAssist templates have been re-coded to allow for easier personalization and a wider variety of content, without adjustments. Designers, for instance, can insert a large-scale photograph or image and the template widens to accommodate it.

WA SiteAssist continues to help the designer as the site grows and changes. Additional pages -- even entire site branches -- can be added at any time and the navigation is instantly updated. Moreover, all design choices can be revised at any time: a major boon for Web designers in the initial stages of site development with clients. WA SiteAssist leverages the power of Dreamweaver templates to flow content changes throughout the site.

"WA SiteAssist 2.0 truly brings home the promise of complete website generation,” said Eric Ott, President of WebAssist. “The new site types make it so easy for business owners to create complete sites, with all the pages they’ll need for their organization while allowing designers the freedom to prototype and develop sites for a full range of clients.”

WA SiteAssist is compatible with Dreamweaver MX, Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Dreamweaver 8 on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. WA SiteAssist retails for $199.99, but is available for $149.99 as a special introductory price until February 14, 2005 directly from WebAssist. Owners of earlier versions can upgrade for $39.99.
