VISI Networks Uses NEOCAST Products from Real Digital Media to Create Digital Signage Network for LabCorp Corporation of America® Holdings

Sarasota, FL – February 7, 2006 – Real Digital Media (RDM), a leading provider of next generation digital signage technology products and integrated services for establishing point of purchase marketing, promotions and corporate communication networks, and VISI Networks, a systems integration, multimedia design and production company specializing in customized narrowcast solutions for the out-of-home market, have formed a strategic relationship to create and manage a digital signage network for Laboratory Corporation of America® Holdings (LabCorp®). Known as the LabCorp Health Network (LHN), this healthcare information and advertising network is currently installed in more than 300 of LabCorp’s more than 1,200 Patient Service Centers (PSC) in the U.S., reaching nearly 1.5 million viewers each month. By mid-2006, LHN will consist of more than 500 PSCs, ultimately reaching more than 80% of the patients and visitors to LabCorp’s PSCs.

The LabCorp Health Network (LHN) is a customized channel of healthcare information specifically designed to enhance LabCorp’s customer retention strategy by delivering quality commercial, educational, informational and entertainment segments via an internet driven, nationally networked narrowcast system. Presented on large, flat-panel screens installed in LabCorp’s Patient Service Centers, LHN provides a unique opportunity for advertisers and content partners to market their products and services to a targeted, health conscious audience with known demographic and statistical data.

“VISI is excited to announce the unique development and rollout of the LabCorp Health Network (LHN)”, said Joseph Erhart, CEO of VISI Networks. “In cooperation with Real Digital Media, we have created an unprecedented opportunity for LabCorp and our content partners to reach patients, on a national, regional or local level, with targeted messaging and relevant advertising that connects directly with a well-defined audience in a way that was previously impossible.”

PhRMA Chief Medical Officer Paul Antony had this to say regarding the value of direct to consumer advertising in a press release dated September 29, 2005:

"Direct to consumer (DTC) advertising provides value to patients by making them aware of risks and benefits of new drugs; it empowers patients and enhances the public health; it plays a vital role in addressing a major problem in this country of under treatment and under diagnosis of disease; encourages patients to discuss medical problems with their health care provider that may otherwise not be discussed due to a stigma being attached to the disease; and encourages patient compliance with physician-directed treatment regimens."

The LabCorp Health Network is operated and managed through a collaborative effort between VISI Networks and Real Digital Media.

Real Digital Media is responsible for providing the digital signage network software and hardware, known as the NEOCAST Media Server and NEOCAST Media Player XF, respectively. VISI Networks is responsible for implementing the network, as well as managing the distribution of content across the network.

VISI Networks selected RDM’s NEOCAST digital signage solution after a formal inquiry process involving a number of digital signage product companies. RDM’s scalable and centralized software architecture combined with its plug-n-play media player appliance made the NEOCAST products a compelling choice for VISI Networks.

“The sheer number of locations in the LabCorp Health Network posed a couple of unique challenges that guided our vendor selection process”, said Mike Erhart, VISI Networks. “On the one hand, we needed to find a digital signage solution that could scale across 1,200 locations from a management perspective. On the other hand, with this many locations, we needed a solution that considered the implementation costs, timeline, and management criteria of rolling out a network of this size. NEOCAST from Real Digital Media was unparalleled on both counts. Their robust solution provides us with complete control and visibility over our network, and we are continually impressed by the quality of their product as well as their personal service.”

“Real Digital Media (RDM) is proud to announce our partnership with VISI Networks”, said Ken Goldberg, Chief Executive Officer of Real Digital Media. “They invested in NEOCAST as the platform for the LabCorp Health Network because they believed RDM products could help meet the ambitious project criteria better than the competition. Together, we delivered on this promise, and demonstrated why RDM has the best price to performance products in the market for establishing large, multi-site digital signage networks that appeal to national advertisers.”
