DealerScope Software LLC, a world-class software provider for car & truck dealerships, today announced the release of WebLink, an internet-based portal that links the dealership’s ADP system to the internet; providing customers on-line access to a number of valuable self-help features. Initial applications include real-time parts shopping, service scheduling, and Accounts Receivable display. WebLink will be showcased at NADA 2006 in Orlando, Florida, February 11-14 at booth 3915. “In talking with dealers we realized the huge demand for web-based software that can help improve traffic and transactions on dealer websites, while at the same time being user friendly. Ease-of-use is paramount for both the dealer and the customer. With WebLink, virtually no training is required. If you can surf the internet, you’re ready to use WebLink. WebLink makes it easier for customers to do business with dealerships, and helps secure the bond between dealer and customer,” commented David Schneider, DealerScope co-founder.

Overall Benefits:

  •     There is no hardware required for dealer to purchase or install.
  •     All information is provided and updated in ‘real-time’.
  •     Set up takes less than one hour.
  •     Cost to the dealer is flexible and based on customer usage.

Initial applications include:

On-Line Real-Time Parts Shopping

When a customer knows the part number they need, they can enter it into a form on the dealer’s website. The WebLink portal returns the price and available quantities from each dealership location. If the customer wishes to purchase the parts, they can click on an “order” button. Once the order is complete, the following happens:

  •     A customer invoice is instantly created on the ADP system for the parts department to finalize and close.
  •     The customer receives an e-mail confirming the order.
  •     The dealership also receives an e-mail indicating that the order was received from the customer.

All pricing and accounting are linked seamlessly to the ADP system, so the pricing is the same as if an invoice was written up at the counter or over the phone.

Benefits:

1.    Customer no longer has to make a phone call and possibly wait for help.

2.    Countermen spend less time checking price and availability.

3.    Automates recurring price checks and orders (customer can save parts lists for future use).

4.    Eliminates keypunch or writing errors and improperly ordered parts, reducing returns, freight charges, and credit costs.

On-Line Real-Time Accounts Receivable

Customers can see their own AR detail without having to call the dealership.

Benefits:

1.    Customer can review invoice detail without having to contact the dealership.

2.    AR Personnel saves time and money not having to retrieve and fax AR information.

On-Line Service Appointment Scheduling

Customer can request service appointment, check on repair status, check on any existing recalls and view service history.

Benefits:

1.    Customer no longer has to make a phone call and possibly wait for help.

2.    Frees up time for Service Advisors to spend with customers.

3.    Helps avoid the ‘morning rush’ by balancing appointments throughout the day, giving service advisors more time to perform a better write-up

About DealerScope Software, LLC:

DealerScope Software is located in Concord, NH and provides software and consulting services to the car and truck dealership industry. DealerScope’s core product, DealerAlert, was created by car dealers for car dealers. The software originates from the commercialization of “Dealer Alert”, software originally written by co-founder Jay Alosa for use in his family’s dealerships due to frustration with the accepted method of reviewing reports and schedules at month end.

DealerAlert radically changes the way information is retrieved and reviewed. It delivers real-time critical, executive management information from a dealership’s ADP system to the dealer principal and managers. The information is first analyzed, filtered and then immediately forwarded to management personnel at any location—in the office, out on the lot, or even at home. With DealerAlert, dealers are increasing profits and decreasing problem areas.

WebLink, DealerScope Software’s newest release, is a web-based portal that links the dealership’s ADP system to the internet; providing customers’ on-line access to a number of valuable self-help features. Initial applications include real-time parts shopping, service scheduling, and Accounts Receivable display.
