The Great Poker League Goes Live

Inovative new site pays $50,000 per annum to high acheievers in online poker tournaments

Shoreham By Sea, England (PRWEB) February 13, 2006 -- This interesting new poker portal is attracting traffic which the card rooms and affiliate programs have long ignored.

There have been various companies that have recently targeted online poker players by offering them a percentage of the profits back to them each month.

This is commonly known in the industry as Rakeback. However, in the past these schemes have often excluded online poker players who participate in tournaments.

The great poker league has created an online league from selected online poker rooms. The league is updated hourly with prize money being offered to the top 20 every month and the top 50 every year.

They are putting up $50,000 in prize money in the 1st year alone, and looking to sponsor a professional player into some prestigious European tournaments.

Mr. Colin Hawker, proprietor of The Great Poker League commented "At last there is a package that can reward both good and regular tournament play, if the buzz of gloating about your position in the league to foe is not reason enough for joining, then the incentive of a $1500 1st prize every month should help"
