Fourteen cats and twenty-six typefaces undertake an unusual journey from A to Z in “The Well-Lettered Cat,” a new book release from Lines Rampant Press

“The Well-Lettered Cat,” an innovative alphabet book that follows fourteen cats on a literary journey from Avant Garde to Zapf Chancery, has been published by Lines Rampant Press. Aimed at readers who are interested in fonts, felines, or Victorian fiction, the wittily illustrated volume is the first title released by the Santa Barbara-based publishing company.

Written by Porter Evans and designed by Edward Fierro, “The Well-Lettered Cat” introduces the reader to the audacious Miss Elizabeth Bennett, Minnie (who can be quite the little dickens), and the rest of the madding crowd as the cats embark on a quixotic quest from A to Z. “Upper-crust or lower-case, they were all characters,” notes the author of this full-color, hardbound book, which contains more than 150 photos and illustrations.

As the principals of the graphic design firm of Evans/Fierro Associates, Evans and Fierro have collaborated on many creative projects for the not-for-profit sector, receiving prestigious awards from Printing Industries of America, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the Strathmore Paper Company, and regional advertising groups. In addition, Fierro has been a frequent contributor to HOW, a design business magazine.

“The Well-Lettered Cat” marks the premiere of “The Well-Loved Cat Series” (TM). For more information or to purchase the book, please visit http://www.linesrampantpress.com.
