RFID Journal, the World’s RFID Authority, announced today a partnership with RFID4U to offer CompTIA RFID+ certification training during RFID Journal LIVE!, the world’s preeminent RFID event.

The certification program will consist of a one day fast track course with intensive instructor-led training and use of state-of-the-art RFID equipment. Those who attend the course on May 1st can then choose to take the certification exam on either May 2 or May 3 or opt for a voucher that allows them to take the exam at a later date.

RFID Journal worked with the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) to develop this vendor-neutral professional certification which validates a professional’s knowledge and skills in the area of RFID technology installation, maintenance, repair, and system upkeep.

The fast-track RFID4U course is aimed at RFID professionals interested in enhancing their career with certification; recent hires charged with installing, configuring, and maintaining RFID hardware and device software, and those who must perform site surveys, site analysis or tag selection, placement and testing.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer this certification program to our conference attendees,” says Mark Roberti, founder and editor of RFID Journal. “This will help employers to shorten the learning curve for their RFID team members, and help individuals enhance their career prospects.”

RFID4U guarantees that attendees will obtain certification. If participants complete the RFID4U training and fail to pass the certification exam, they can attend a future training program within one year at no additional cost but will be responsible for the second exam fee.

Given the course covers in one day what is often taught over a week, attendees are encouraged to come with an understanding of RFID fundamentals, various types of tags, interrogators, RFID standards and the current state of the RFID market.
