Their new album, People Like Us, will be honored with a nomination at the awards show, February 11,2006 at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro, California.
People Like Us (pOprOck records), produced by Arrica Rose and Larry Crane (Elliott Smith, Sleater-Kinney, The Decemberists) is best described as mellow Indie-rock with a hint of alt-country. The album features Rose's rich smoky vocals backed by the melodic strummings and energetic beats of her band, fondly referred to as the 'dot dot dots.' Their particular brand of indie-rock has been described as having a lullaby affect with an underlying intensity coming from Rose's songwriting and delivery that creates a perfect combination of beauty, energy and restraint. People Like Us features musicians Abby Kincaid, Ryan Brown, Jason Mezilis, Will Golden and Arrica Rose.
