Florida Relocation Site Reveals Two Major New Trends

Florida’s appeal is growing worldwide and regional popularity is shifting.

Melbourne FL (PRWEB) February 9, 2006 -- Florida’s appeal is growing worldwide and the regional popularity is shifting. Florida Real Estate Network CEO Dennis Handa, reported two new trends in recent site searches at http://www.flarren.com.

Mr. Handa remarked, "We’re now getting substantial hits from Sweden, Germany, India, Turkey, Korea,Denmark,Austria, Israel, Portugal, France and of course Canada and the UK. This is a clear indicator, that the appeal of Florida is growing worldwide.. For example, just in the past month, two new UK magazines devoted to Florida and the premise of relocating here have started up."

Mr. Handa also remarked, "The second thing we’ve noticed is a shift in area popularity. The top 12 areas searched at our site now are:

  • The Florida Keys
  • West Palm Beach
  • Tampa, St..Pete
  • Ft. Myers
  • Jacksonville
  • Melbourne
  • Orlando
  • Pensacola
  • Naples
  • Ft. Lauderdale
  • Stuart
  • Daytona

When asked, why the popularity growth is happening, Mr. Handa said,
"The tax advantages and housing prices plus the amenities, such as great weather, transportation, healthcare and employment really outdistance anything found in Europe and the rest of the world."

When asked about the area shift, he remarked, "I think the buyer profile is changing. In addition to foreign buyers with more money to spend, we’re also seeing baby boomers coming into the market. They definitely have more money to spend then their predecessors did and they’re demanding bigger homes, not just in size but also amenities such as waterfront and view properties.. They’re definitely going for their piece of paradise."

"Last but not least, I think it surprised us that last year, despite the hurricanes, relocation was actually up to 400,000. Based on what we’re seeing, 2006 will be yet another banner year in Florida relocation. What this tells me is that agents and lenders and related business services that cater to relocation would do well to try to reach these markets."
