Donor Challenges Local Roanoke, VA Businesses to Support Local War on Poverty

Local Roanoke, VA Man Challenges Local business to donate to Total Action Against Poverty by offering to match donations up to $5000.

Roanoke, VA (PRWEB) February 9, 2006 -- Local Roanoke, VA Man Challenges Local business to donate to Total Action Against Poverty by offering to match donations up to $5000.

“I strongly believe that TAP has created many opportunities for members of the community that are less fortunate than myself and others,” states Joshua Holcomb, co-owner of EverFund.com a national mortgage referral service of Roanoke, Virginia.

Mr. Holcomb, 27, is a Roanoke native who spent much time in his youth assisting the poverty-struck communities in the Roanoke Valley, and can attest to the difficulties faced by these populations. “It is for that reason that I am making a challenge to local business owners to do something to better our community and take part in this challenge. Any amount will help and I will match it. If you can simply set aside $10 it will go to help make our community stronger, safer, and a better place to live.”

Mr. Holcomb became a father at the age of 16, and supported his four children the best way he could, but knows how difficult it is. “I started studying the Internet and Internet Website design and marketing. I soon found myself a father of four little girls and a son by the age of 26. I was blessed with the ability to motivate myself and have a nack for Internet marketing and that grew in to a multi-million dollar company. I feel that if someone like myself who had it rough at the beginning of fatherhood at such a young age, and turned it around with the support of programs like TAP, anyone can be a successful father and have a successful career. There is hope and help. TAP in my opinion is a great organization that helps people in the community who really need it. They are there for everyone.”

Mr. Holcomb will match any monetary donations made by others in the local business community up to $5000. Donations must be made to TAP’s Annual Fund no later than March 6, 2006 to be eligible, gifts prior to February 6, 2006 are ineligible. To make a gift to TAP, call 345-6781 ext. 4314 or visit the website at www.taproanoke.org.

Mr. Holcomb also has his own Website at www.JOSHHOLCOMB.com to feature charities and what others in the community can do to help. Mr. Holcomb’s Employment: Partner is Iconic Investments LLC/EverFund.com - Mortgage referral network.
