Four NASL Indoor Soccer Teams Begin Showcase Season in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 12

The National Alliance Soccer League begins its 2006 showcase indoor soccer season on Sunday, February 12 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The Dallas Tornado, San Diego Fusion, Las Vegas Toros, and New York Arrows all are in action

Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) February 9, 2006 -- On Sunday, February 12 at 1pm in Las Vegas, the National Alliance Soccer League begins a fourteen game showcase season to introduce eight NASL teams. All showcase games will be played at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas and all will be telecast by the TVS Television Network on its soon to be launched web channel. The Las Vegas Toros will play in each of the seven doubleheaders. Teams playing the Toros include the New York Arrows (Feb 12), Cleveland Crunch (Feb 19), Los Angeles Aztecs (March 5), San Diego Fusion (March 19), Washington Diplomats (March 26), Denver Dynamo (April 2), and Estrallas de Tijuana (April 9). Completing the showcase doubleheaders will be the Dallas Tornado - San Diego Fusion (Feb 12), New York Arrows - Dallas Tornado Feb 19, Cleveland Crunch vs. New York Arrows (March 5), Cleveland Crunch vs. Dallas Tornado (March 19), Los Angeles Aztecs vs. Dallas Tornado (March 26), Washington Diplomats vs. Dallas Tornado (April 2) and San Diego Fusion vs. Washington Diplomats (April 9). All NASL teams are comprised of top former collegiate and world class players from around the country and the globe. Players, like the teams, will be showcased via world wide telecasts in hopes of landing FIFA jobs around the world.

Among the top players in the league are former Chivas player Victor 'Boomer' Arbelaez, international star Geoff Barto, and former British player Danny Stone.

TVS Television Network, in addition to telecasting the new games, will also telecast from its extensive library of NASL and MISL Classic games. TVS is the fourth oldest commercial TV network in the USA, having been founded in 1961 by current Chicago White Sox executive Eddie Einhorn. Games can be seen on both English and Spnish broadcast, cable, and web outlets.

The NASL has signed an exclusive worldwide agreement to market all logowear with Diadora. This will include current NASL jerseys, throwback NASL and MISL jerseys, and an exclusive DVD video line called 'Diadora Soccer Classics', which will include vintage MISL games featuring Steve Zungul, Branko Segota, etc. and vintage NASL games that feature Pele, Cinaglia, Beckenbauer, Cruyff, etc. NASL will exclusively utilize Diadora uniforms, soccer balls, coaches polos and goalkeeper gear.
