About mobile phone virus:
Mobile viruses are by the mobile industry viewed as the greatest threat to the market as a whole. In an age where mobile devices are becoming more and more integrated with interactive services, the danger of a virus infection and the potential damage it may cause, increases. The entire marketplace is poised for the first major attack.
Malicious software can pro-actively attack your device. The use of email, internet connection, infrared beaming, Bluetooth and synchronisation increases the vulnerability of wireless devices to malicious software. If not properly protected, the wireless device is in danger of being attacked and vital information may be destroyed or deleted, along with critical applications, or in the worse case, sensitive information may be “sniffed” by third parties. Mobile viruses can spread through many different ways, Bluetooth, e-mail, PC-Sync, GSM, WAP, GPRS, 3G, Internet surfing, Infrared and more!
The Cell-Phone anti-virus market is expected, by EMarketer (http://www.emarketer.com) to generate revenues of US$ 12.7 billion by the end of 2007.
About the MCP:
The MCP (Mobile Content Provider) is a small, patented device that can store mobile content and transfer it directly to the phone without connecting to an external server. The content is delivered directly from the MCP to the mobile device through infrared connection. The end user connects the MCP to the mobile device through the infrared port, and will have full protection for his/her mobile phone at the touch of a button, without going through complicated downloading and/or synchronization procedures.
