Houston Business Leader and Author Vickie Milazzo To Be Keynote Speaker For 'Success in the City' Empowerment Series

Houston business leader,author and entrepreneur to reveal '5 Promises' and '10 Strengths' that propel women to success.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 8, 2006 -- Vickie L. Milazzo, a Houston entrepreneur and author who was recently named an Inc Top Ten Entrepreneur, will be the keynote speaker for Success in the City’s Women’s Empowerment Series on February 21 at La Columbe D’Or from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Milazzo, author of the newly-released "Inside Every Woman: The Ten Strengths You Didn’t Know You Had to Build the Career and Life You Want Now" (www.InsideEveryWoman.com), is both a nurse and an attorney. She owns Vickie Milazzo Institute, a company that educates and certifies RNs throughout the country to become legal nurse consultants.

“Vickie started her $12 million company 23 years ago after making five “success promises” to herself,” says Christine Stilwell, president of Success in the City. “She is a mentor and a role model for all women who dream of owning their own companies. We are delighted she will be sharing her guiding success principles with the women at this event.”

The event is open to the public and will benefit The Fairy Godmother Project, an non-profit organization that collects slightly-used evening gowns and party dresses and gives them away free to underprivileged Houston area high school girls so they can attend their senior proms.

“We know many of the women who will attend have beautiful dresses hanging in the backs of their closets, almost forgotten,” says Stilwell. “We’d like them to bring a prom dress with them that night. Representatives of The Fairy Godmother Project will collect the evening clothes make sure they end up in deserving hands.”
