Sutton & Edwards Sells Former AW Sperry Plant in Hauppuage, New York
The Lake Success, NY-based commercial real estate services firm Sutton & Edwards Inc./TCN Worldwide has arranged the sale of the former AW Sperry plant in Hauppauge, NY. The plant will be occupied by Premier Store Fixtures.
Lake Success, NY (PRWEB) February 13, 2006 -- Premier Store Fixtures, undertaking a considerable expansion, will move its assembly operations into the former A.W. Sperry Industries Inc. plant in Hauppauge as a result of a deal arranged by the commercial real estate service firm Sutton & Edwards Inc./TCN Worldwide.
Premier, which manufactures retail fixtures, will occupy 32,275 square feet at 245 Marcus Ave., Hauppauge The building, which sits on 2½ acres, was purchased for $3.25 million by Nelson Goodman, the owner of Premier, which also operates in a 55,000-square-feet facility at 110 Emjay Boulevard, Brentwood, NY, The seller was J&L Realty.
Sutton & Edwards Senior Director Jeffrey Schwartzberg represented the seller. Richard Cohen of Ashlind Properties represented the buyer.
A.W. Sperry, a manufacturer of electrical test meters for do-it-yourselfers, vacated the building in June. The company was acquired in December 2004 by Milwaukee-based Actuant Corp. J&L, the seller of the building, is a company owned by former A.W. Sperry principals.
