Stetson Convention Services, Inc has signed a strategic alliance with Co-op America as the tradeshow decorator and contractor for this year’s Green Festival in Washington, D.C. The Green Festival is scheduled to take place October 14-15, 2006 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center.
The emerging awareness of the benefits of living a “green” lifestyle has made its way into the tradeshow circuit. The Green Festival is an exposition that unifies green businesses, social and environmental groups, visionary thinkers, and thousands of community members by a common goal of a greener and more sustainable future.
Stetson Convention Services, Inc is also aware of this rising social movement. Proclaimed as America’s Green exposition and tradeshow contractor and decorator, Stetson prides itself on the company’s environmentally responsible approach to contracting and decorating. Currently, Stetson stands as the general decorator for the USGBC International Conference and Expo (greenbuild); a show committed to promoting green building practices.
The nature of a tradeshow produces mass amounts of waste, therefore Stetson began researching ways to not only reduce the amount of waste produced at their shows, but use environmentally responsible products. “Stetson is consistently finding ways to lead the exposition industry as America’s Green Contractor,” stated Stetson Convention Services President, Bill Sandherr.
Stetson currently implements recycled or recyclable products in every aspect of their events, utilizes green cleaning products in their office, warehouse, and signage department, and operates their facility on 100% wind power. Stetson has also put various practices into operation that significantly reduce the amount of waste at each of their events. “We’re just trying to help save the planet one tradeshow at a time,” states Stetson National Sales Rep, Craig Rodgers.
Stetson Convention Services, Inc., Co-op America, and Seven-Star, Inc. have partnered for this year’s Green Festival in Washington, D.C., October 14-15, 2006 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center. For further information on how you can green your upcoming event, contact Craig Rodgers at 412-223-1090.
