Arizona Home Prices Down in West Valley, up in Chandler and Gilbert

Arizona median home prices were lower in several West Valley cities in January. Prices were higher in Chandler and Gilbert

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 12, 2006 -- Several West Valley cities in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona showed median home price declines of more than 2 percent in January compared to last November. Those cities were Sun City, Surprise, Phoenix, Glendale, Goodyear and Avondale. Two cities showed price increases of more than 2 percent, Chandler and Gilbert.

A graphic analysis by John L. Wake, a real estate agent with HomeSmart Real Estate, and using data published by the Arizona Real Estate Center at Arizona State University, shows the median sale price of single family homes in 13 Valley cities from 2003 through January 2006.

Cities included in the study were Avondale, Chandler, El Mirage, Gilbert, Glendale, Goodyear, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise and Tempe, Arizona. Month to month price changes do not necessarily reflect longer term price trends.
