Concerned about the strict California labor laws? Get solutions to be compliant. The Quarterly Human Resources (HR)Roundtable West Hollywood Chamber of commerce, February 17, 2006

Curtin & Associates and the West Hollywood, CA Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce the Chamber's very first H.R. Roundtable. This will be a quarterly event focusing on various "hot" topics in Human Resources.

About the Program: Quarterly HR Roundtable is designed to educate and inform you about those regulations and form a Chamber network of human resource professionals, interested business owners or other employees of member companies who have HR responsibility. In each meeting, we will discuss the latest trends and important legislation affecting the management of employees in the workplace. The HR Roundtable is a place where local professionals can share information regarding their HR issues in a “safe” setting and seek help from the network, as well as share and discuss alternative solutions. Each meeting will start with a presentation on a timely human resource topic. Our first Roundtable theme will focus on proper compliance with AB 1825, the new requirement that all companies with over 50 employees train supervisors in proper techniques of harassment prevention and investigation. This is a don't miss.

The new regulations may surprise you. It is not too late to ensure you are in compliance with this regulation which can have far reaching effects on your business should you ever have a complaint filed against you. Even if you have already conducted training in your company, you should attend this meeting to make sure it is consistent with the newly issued regulations.
