New York, NY (PRWEB) February 13, 2006
The New York State Professional Bail Bondsman Association (NYPBA) President & Founder George Zouvelos today released the founding mission statements.
“The NYPBA was established to protect, expand and highlight the benefits the bail industry brings to the People of the State of New York, said George Zouvelos, President & Founder of the NYPBA. While protecting and promoting the NYPBA interests and agenda we act as overseers of the criminal justice system regarding commercial bail bonds. In that capacity, we are protecting the fiscal interests and stressing the enormous financial benefits that the commercial bail industry brings to every New Yorker by NYS Bail Bondsman,” added Zouvelos.
In recent years many rogue type irresponsible bail operatives have spawned and flourished in New York and elsewhere. These few have attempted through greed to effectively taint the commercial bail industry image and cast a dark shadow over the hard work of honest Bail Bondsman across the state. With the membership of various sureties, together with the Bail Bondsman we will seek to identify and eradicate those who choose to profit from the reputations of honorable Bondsman and a just industry.
“We will utilize our collective influence with law and policy makers, legislature, the judiciary and friends in the media to combat discrimination against the bail industry. The attacks by judges that seek to extinguish commercial Bondsman from their court room will not be tolerated. In addition, many hard working civil servants work within the criminal justice system every day and have made an honorable career serving the people of the State of New York. However, discrimination and corruption that delays or prevents a person who has duly satisfied the bail requirement continues to exist and I can assure you, together we will eliminate them one problem at a time,” stated Zouvelos.
Going forward, the NYPBA is seeking to obtain a more responsible, cooperative and favorable approach by the New York and federal legislatures, New York State Department of Insurance and the judiciary towards the credible commercial bail industry. We anticipate resistance and open opposition against our efforts, but our joint resolve is greater than any individual agenda and will be dealt with accordingly. Our founding mission statement follows.
