Get Published. The Neale Sourna Journal. Contest 1 Edition - War Homefront Erotica and Sensual Fiction

"Get Published," says Neale Sourna. Invest in a loved one's many erotic talents for the new Neale Sourna Journal - War Homefront Erotica and Sensual Fiction Edition sponsored by her company PIE: Perception Is Everything, for writers, authors, and screenwriters; "because there's a great story inside everyone and PIE: Percept is helping them get published. I'm giving out this chance to others to make spiritual and emotional love creating a beautiful story, a powerful story, or an ugly story, with heart and sensuality, to impress and arouse. It's a gift that can be given any day or night all year round, and cherished and reread forever."

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) February 14, 2006 -- PIE: Perception Is Everything (PIE: Percept)’s new Neale Sourna Journal. Contest 1 - War Homefront Erotica and Sensual Fiction is a publisher's contest for writers, authors, screenwriters, and friends and family of same.

Why your new journal, "NSJ"?

Published, award-winning author-publisher Neale Sourna's answer is, "Because I've heard and read so many writers cannot find a venue in which to publish. I've looked around my self and there are more small publishers, but fewer -- large or small – publishers, who seem to be taking on new authors for smaller pieces, such as short stories, especially in the sensual field. Ebooks are growing in the field, but magazines and websites purchasing stories have been closing. Even wonderful Katy Terrega's Sex-Writer.com's writer reference site is 'closing its doors'."

What else is happening in the field, right now?

"Writing classes in erotica and sensual authorship are growing worldwide for those learning to craft their skills in the field; for fun and profit. I'm a publisher; I publish my own stories, as hold in your hand books and also as PC/PDA ebooks. I adore the creative control and the speed to market of the new advances in electronic publishing, but I want to feel a little less selfish about spending nearly all my time and creativity on only my works, so I'm offering this new venue for authors, writers, screenwriters, and others -- published and unpublished – with a theme, but fewer restrictions and a higher word count. Sex and love with restrictions is fine, sometimes, but most times I like freedom to relax, create, and experiment. Push the limits . . . in my writing."

Winners get what?

Contest winners get published -- one 4000 word story or excerpt – in her new journal, which will be published the same way she publishes her own stories, trade paperback (approx. 6" x 9") and ebook.

Neale is seeking to choose at least ten to twelve (10-12) winning authors' stories to publish in this edition.

**Additionally, if she comes across someone's work of which she is "especially enamored," she'll offer them an additional opportunity to be read and perhaps publish a separate, completed fiction or collection of theirs.

Who is she?

Neale’s first novel to publish "Hobble" won the BlackRefer.com Year's Best Erotica Award and she has published with PLAYGIRL Magazine, Distant Echoes, and several places around the internet. Her latest, a mini book of 104 pages, "Steve’s Monkey’s Paw & MORE" is now updated, expanded, and available as an inexpensive ebook (Adobe and MS Readers) and trade paperback.

She says her favorite compliment she's received as a book author is the astonished one from Johnny Temple of Akashic Books who, after reading an excerpt of "Hobble" said he completely believed Neale was a man, which she plainly isn't in person. She says she hopefully is "a dude, when writing from a guy’s POV."

Who can submit to NSJ, and what?

Submissions may be made by any author or authors, of legal aged—soldier (active or retired), warrior (spiritual or otherwise), or noncombatant / private citizen of the world; published or unpublished—holding full legal copyright to the work submitted for the usage specified here, providing the final work I receive is in the English language.

The story should be related to the civilian homefront, homefront war support, or normally nonlethal noncombatants' area of war and the consequences of said wars' conflicts.

If the story perspective must be from that of a combatant / warrior / soldier, his / her concerns and desires must reflect longing for home, hearth, and bed; their understanding that they maybe fighting for loved ones, who might be fighting just as hard at home—crime, new lovers, lack of funds / support, propaganda, Katrina, earthquakes . . . .

Required:

All works must have a sensuous and / or erotic content, romantic inclinations and philosophic twists or underlying themes, whether moralistic or political, rightist or leftist or down-the-middleist is encouraged.

This contest is presently open to all subgenre(s) or cross genre(s) or multi-genre(s): SciFi, Fantasy, Contemporary, Historical, Horror, Multicultural, Urban / Hip Hop / Rap, Romance, Paranormal, GLBT, Gangs, etc.

Author-Editor-Publisher Neale Sourna is the contest judge. "It's my name on the journal."

There is a small investment fee. ("Less than the price of postage and time waiting for an agent, then an editor, and then a large company to notice an author, and still not publish them.") This is a career contest with plans to be repeated. It's a bragging rights chance at a rare opportunity to publish a story, especially a sensuous literary story, AND perhaps to publish a separate full novel or collection. That seems like a pretty good opportunity.
