Intensive Spanish Courses - Valencia, Spain, Summer 2006
The growing importance of Spanish as an international business language leads to an increasing demand for intensive Spanish courses aimed at businesspeople and professionals.
(PRWEB) February 14, 2006 -- Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world and one of the official languages of the United Nations and the European Union. Spoken by approximately 417 million people, factors such as its increased usage in the United States, the expanding economies of the Spanish-speaking world, its influence on the global music market and the importance of its literature all contribute to its growing importance.
Dixon Formación, in collaboration with Hotel Ad Hoc Monumental, Palacio de Colomina and Naturlife, is offering intensive Spanish courses (intermediate level) in Summer 2006 (4th June to 11th June) for businesspeople wishing to improve their knowledge both of the Spanish language and of Spanish culture. The entire programme is to take place in the city of Valencia, Spain, and its surrounding region.
Our "linguistic holidays" represent the perfect opportunity to combine a formal language-learning course (20 hours of intensive classroom teaching) with a range of complementary activities (22 hours of practical classes conducted in Spanish and held in and around the city of Valencia, Spain) designed to enable students to fully experience the customs and culture of the country whilst enjoying leisure time in splendid surroundings.
Accommodation for our intensive Spanish course is provided at the Hotel Ad Hoc Monumental, a charming establishment set in a charming late 19th-century building in the centre of Valencia, combining friendly service with comfortable installations. Thanks to our agreement with Hotel Ad Hoc Monumental, each student will stay in a double room at a preferential tariff, regardless of whether they attend alone or accompanied.
In the words of Nick Buchanan, head of Dixon Formación's language training department, "Given that businesspeople from around the world now understand that communication is not only based on linguistic factors, language training companies such as ours need to offer courses that not only address these needs, but also provide students with a deep knowldege of cultural and commercial practices, in addition to a range of leisure activities to enrich the experience of the participants. This has led to the organisation of the 2006 Spanish Course. Looking ahead to subsequent years, it is easy to envisage customised Spanish courses that revolve around a particular activity, say golf, or professional sector, such as architecture, law, etc."
Dixon Servicios Lingüísticos, S.L. is a Valencia-based company offering professional translation and interpreting services in more than 100 languages and, through Dixon Formación, in-company language courses in seven languages (English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese and Spanish).
