CSU Pet Sitters Conference Announces New Team and Location for 2007 Conference

As CSU Pet Sitters Conference enters 10th year, a new 5-member planning team is announced to carry on the the only 'by pet sitters and for pet sitters' conference.

Sheridan, WY (PRWEB) February 15, 2006 -- CSU Pet Sitters Conference announces new conference planning team and location for 2007 conference.

The CSU Pet Sitters Conference, often referred to as the C Conference, is pleased to announce a new planning team, which will be responsible for planning upcoming conferences that draw attendees from around the country. The following five-member team has been selected to follow in the footsteps of the retiring team members:

Diana Langley, PAWPRINTS In-Home Pet Sitting, San Diego, CA
Sandy Hendrickson, Pampered Pet Services, Inc., Chicago, IL
Sharon Murphy, Big Dog and Miss Kitti’s Pet Sitting Services, Houston, TX
Terri Randall, Creature Comforts In-Home Pet Care, Sheridan, WY
Therese Kopiwoda, PetsitUSA.com, Austin, TX

Outgoing team member and co-founder, Janet Depathy, of Under My Wings in Plymouth, MA, had this to say about her retirement and the new team, “Letting something go that you've been a part of since its inception is not easy, but sometimes it’s for the best to help it grow. It gives me great pleasure knowing the new team members believe in the “C” Conference, which is truly a labor of love. No one is compensated a dime for the endless hours put into working on it, even the team members pay for registration! One of the unique aspects of "C" conferences is that it's the only all volunteer pet sitting organization put on for pet sitters by pet sitters who come together to share, learn, laugh, form friendships and yes, even relax if you wish. So with that said, I proudly pass the torch to the new team members and thank everyone that has been a part of it in the past and the future.”

Other retiring team members are Lynn VanHouse, of Lovey’s Pet Care, Corona, CA and Linda Jones of Purrs and Wags Sitters, Greenville, SC. Janet Depathy and Lynn VanHouse will remain available to the team as advisors.

The tenth annual CSU Pet Sitters Conference (C10) will take place in Las Vegas in January 2007. Tentatively scheduled topics include pet massage, pet first aid, and more from recognized leaders in the industry. Each of the new team members have expressed how honored they are to be able to carry on the tradition and look forward to making the tenth anniversary conference the biggest and best ever.

Founded in 1997, the CSU Pet Sitters Conference, originally named Cybersitters United, grew out of an online discussion list of professional pet sitters throughout the country. It was established as a way for pet sitters to help each other succeed in their businesses, in turn helping to raise the level of professionalism for the industry as a whole. Each year, professional pet sitters from around the country gather to network with their peers; attend sessions on pet care, business matters, and industry specific issues; and take part in group outings to local animal-related attractions.
