SEO-PR President to Speak at Search Engine Strategies about Vertical Creep into Regular Search Results, News Search SEO

Even if users don't conduct a vertical search, there’s more chance than ever that search engines will show some vertical listings at the top of “default” results.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 14, 2006 -- Greg Jarboe, the co-founder and President of SEO-PR, has been invited to speak at the Search Engine Strategies 2006 Conference. Jarboe has been asked to speak about “Vertical Creep into Regular Search Results” and “News Search SEO.”

Unlike some conferences, speaking slots on sessions at Search Engine Strategies are not given in return for sponsorship of the event. Instead, conference chair Danny Sullivan carefully plans sessions designed to cover all aspects of search engine marketing. He then personally invites speakers to take part in various sessions, based on the knowledge and experience they can bring to conference attendees.

Sullivan has asked Jarboe and Gord Hotchkiss, President and CEO of Enquiro, to speak again at the 4-star rated session, “Vertical Creep Into Regular Search Results.” It will be held on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 -- Day 1 of the conference -- from 10:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. In order to provide diverse viewpoints, Sullivan has also invited Bob Carilli of Argus Interactive and Mihir Shah, Director of Product Management at Yahoo! to join the panel of speakers.

Vertical Creep into Regular Search Results
“Vertical Creep Into Regular Search Results,” the opening session in the Vertical Search Track, will look at how being number one in the search results more and more means being listed in vertical search. Vertical is the new kid on the block, when it comes to the real estate of search results pages. Even if users don't choose to do a vertical search, there’s more chance than ever that search engines will show some vertical listings at the top of “default” results.

Sullivan has also asked Jarboe, Nan Dawkins, a Partner of RedBoots Consulting, and Sally Falkow, President of Expansion Plus Inc., to speak again at the 4-star rated session, “News Search SEO.” It will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006 -- Day 2 of the Conference -- from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

“News Search SEO,” the opening session in the News & Blogs Track, will look at how to make use of press releases and news content to tap into the power of news search. News search engines offer a great way to receive targeted traffic related to breaking topics or to help with a public relations launch.
