The average student is surrounded by media outlets at least 5-8 hours a day. The classroom experience has to be prepared to compete with that reality.
Manhattan Beach, CA (PRWEB) February 20, 2006
Multimedia Learning, LLC (MML) continued its 200% growth rate in 2005 and hit key targets for continued success.
With record sales posted again in 2005, Co-CEO Herschel Sarnoff explained, "In this environment, we find that teachers using our product have more time to manage the classroom and can deliver a lesson that reaches the students and keeps their attention."
Operationally, MML posted some big wins this year. Multimedia Learning is now listed in Teacher’s Discovery catalog and continues selling well through Social Study School Services. MML also has expanded the number of titles to 25, covering the entire school year curriculum for US history. District-wide orders were received this year as well on their website.
"We are really excited about the reception we are receiving. Our approach makes sense, and I think everyone can see it is working." Commenting on their growth rate, "At this point, we are still in the very early innings of all of this. There are many opportunities in place for us to continue to outpace the industry growth rate. Conservatively we would like to see a steady 30-40% growth rate annually for the next 5 years. We are putting things in place to make that happen."
He continued, "The average student is surrounded by media outlets at least 5-8 hours a day. The classroom experience has to be prepared to compete with that reality.” He continued, "We also realized we had to make this user-friendly for a teacher and available for any school system."
Dana Bagdasarian, Co-CEO, spoke about the new products, "We discovered that the average classroom in the US has access to a DVD player right now. This represents a huge untapped market for a teacher-led product. So, this year we have made our learning system available on DVD as an addition to the already popular PowerPoint® system."
Ms. Bagdasarian continued, “With our approach, the DVD doesn't take the teacher out of the teaching process when they hit “play”; the teacher leads the classroom using slides designed to play on a DVD player. It’s the same great learning system, but ready today for almost every classroom in the US.”
Created by classroom teachers, this innovative program offers educators standards-based classroom-ready resources that address different learning modalities including: audio, visual, written, and other learning styles.
