Learn.com®, the leader in creating and projecting power-on-demand e-learning, today announced a Conversion Allowance Program for SumTotal customers who are worried about the stability of SumTotal Systems after this week’s events. Under the Learn.com Conversion Allowance Program (CAP), Learn.com will absorb the costs associated with the migration from the SumTotal, DK Systems, Pathlore, Docent, Click2Learn or Registrar systems to the award-winning Learn.com LearnCenter 9.1 LMS/LCMS.

“In lieu of the press release from SumTotal Systems on February 13th, 2006 announcing the resignation of its President, after their CEO and Audit firm resigned just a few months ago, we want SumTotal Systems customers to know that they have a stable alternative, said JW Ray, Chief Operating Officer at Learn.com. “ As SumTotal Systems continues to try to prove its business model, integrate and support six plus different LMS products and multiple versions of each, Learn.com is and has been focused on one LMS/ LCMS product and our client’s satisfaction for over 6 years.”

It appears SumTotal Systems is having difficulty garnering new clients or having existing clients increase their user population (license revenue) based on their business model:

According to Donald Fowler, the SumTotal President, “While we would have liked to have seen greater growth in license revenue, we are encouraged by the growth in our deferred revenue levels entering the current quarter. Our efforts remain focused on driving both top and bottom line results.”

“We want their customers to know that we have successfully converted over 2 dozen clients from competing LMS products to the LearnCenter and under this CAP program we can do it in almost all cases for no cost to the client. With our On-Demand pricing and delivery we can typically provide the LearnCenter for the cost of the annual support and maintenance they are paying for that old behind the firewall version,” said Art Faccone Senior Vice President of Client Services at Learn.com.

“We encourage any SumTotal customer to schedule a free LearnCenter demonstration and business requirements consultation with a Learn.com consultant before renewing support and maintenance agreements or upgrading to SumTotal Systems,” said Don Cook, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Learn.com. This is a critical decision that has widespread implications throughout an entire organization. Switch to Learn.com and your company will not be neglected. That is why we were voted number one in customer loyalty by Bersin & Associates. We care about our clients and not simply about having more revenue than our peers.”

In a recent study conducted by Bersin & Associates, it was concluded that, “Most LMS providers (with the exception of Learn.com) do not have the technical prowess or resources to deliver both an LMS and a complete set of e-learning development tools. They are the only provider that delivers this solution as both an ASP and a licensed model. Learn.com’s exceptionally high customer loyalty and high rating in the ease of ownership measure indicates that they have developed an easy-to-use, easy-to-configure solution, enabling customers to easily manage and configure their own LMS. The company understands the challenges customers face in configuring and upgrading systems, and is addressing them.”
