Randy Logan Hale is a Free Man

Randy Logan Hale, convict and recently elected Romoland School Board member, is a free man.

Corcoran, CA (PRWEB) February 17, 2006 -- Randy Logan Hale instantly rose to national notoriety when he was elected as a board member to the Romoland School Board in Riverside California. Hale was released yesterday from the California State Prison in Cocoran, California to the authorities in Los Angeles County. He is scheduled to be released shortly and return to Riverside County to be with his wife. Hale was out on parole when he placed his name on the ballot, but prior to the vote, was returned to prison for violating that parole. While finishing out his term, he won the third place spot on the board.

In an even more ironic twist, Hale has landed a royalty book publishing deal while serving out the last few weeks of his sentence. One principle of Over The Wall, Inc. Publishing and Productions, forty-three year old Craig Farris is serving the last eight months of an eight year sentence in the same cell block as Hale. Farris stated, “This is a great story! I read about Randy in the L.A. Times and thought this would make a great book. I recommended my partners sign him to a contract.”

Over The Wall, Inc. Publishing and Productions is a company dedicated to helping inmates tell their stories, thereby giving formerly hopeless men and women the chance for a positive future where they have something to give, some form of economic security and a sense of pride which will propel them into the beginnings of a new life. They were founded two years ago by Craig Farris, Federal prisoner Steve Lange and San Jose business consultant Rodger Noe. They have four full length titles due to release this Spring and have another five titles, including Hale’s book, slated for release by December 2006.

The working title for Hale’s book is Political Prisoner: How Convicted Felon Randy Hale Fought For A Seat On A California School board And Won! The book will be authored by Hale and co-authored by Farris.
