T-shirt Designers Rally Round the Vice President

Independent T-shirt designers respond to the VP’s hunting accident. Indications that Mr. Cheney’s hunting companion will recover and is in good spirits once again, have allowed online t-shirt retailers to maintain their good-natured spoof of the entire affair.

(PRWEB) February 18, 2006 -- It appears Vice President Cheney is more popular than anyone realized. T-shirt designers from across America have rallied to the call from online T-shirt retailer, The Shop-a-Rama Family™ and delivered more than 100 new products in only four days. Even before Mr. Cheney was able to schedule time for interviews with the Press to discuss his recent quail hunting accident, t-shirts with various messages of support became available at a web site called 1001 All American Tees™. The web site features t-shirts and gift items with patriotic, free-speech and political themes, emphasizing support for US Troops performing combat missions around the world.

Images and messages supporting the Vice President’s hunting activities varied of course, and not all were favorable. One very popular design features the VP’s face with the simple message, “Oops!”, while another designer stakes out stranger territory with this message, “Headline News; Cheney shoots attorney mistaken for sleeper cell! White House claims collateral damage.” Many shirts, however, took a more lenient view of the incident and simply suggested logos for a new Dick Cheney Hunting Club. When asked how well Vice-Presidential T-shirts generally do in the market, Shop-a-Rama Family CEO, David “BabyDave” Anderson offered these comments, “All Americans recognize the Vice President’s commitment to keeping us safe. This unfortunate incident highlights the importance of supporting his commitment at every opportunity.”

The online retailing site, 1001 All American Tees, is one of several One Million Pixel T-Shirt™ sites operated by The Shop-a-Rama Family, each featuring up to 1001 individual t-shirt designs. One Million Pixel T-shirt pages enhance the trendy pixel advertising strategy with interactivity and allow rapid scanning through a large selection of products. “Our products are created by independent designers around the world and produced under the auspices of Cafepress.com®, said Mr. Anderson, “We select the best from millions of designs offered on a variety of topics, such as geeks, animal welfare, the upcoming political campaign and of course, patriotism.”
