Tulsa Now and the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa Announce a Mayoral Forum ... The Heart and Art of Tulsa
Mayoral Forum on February 21st at OSU-Tulsa addressing Downtown Tulsa, Arkansas River development, and arts and culture as an economic engine.
Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) February 18, 2006 -- Tulsa Now and the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa are pleased to present a Mayoral Forum on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 in the OSU-Tulsa Auditorium at 700 South Greenwood Avenue.
This is your opportunity to learn and ask questions about the candidates’ positions on areas of interest to you including development of Downtown Tulsa, the Arkansas River, and the role of arts and culture in Tulsa’s economic development. A particular focus will be on Downtown Tulsa in terms of highlighting the urgency of confronting the new realities of the 21st Century with decisive strategies, including major strategic investment in Downtown, and in the human capital, via the arts, that will attract and retain talent of all ages to our community.
Doors open at 5:15 p.m. with light refreshments. The forum will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Each candidate will have the opportunity to make brief opening remarks. Following that, we will take questions from the audience, allowing each candidate to respond to each question. We will ask as many questions as time allows. Rich Fisher, host of Studio Tulsa on radio station KWGS-89.5 FM will moderate the forum.
