As a result of the excitment being generated by the much anticipated debut album release by Steven Hall, MCM-Nashville has announced it is expanding its marketing and promotion arm to include the Upper North Eastern United States.

MCM-Nashville is pleased to announce the expansion of its operation to include the Upper North Eastern United States. Director of Operations-North America, Mark Carman announced that the company would be establishing a new territory for its Marketing and Promotion Department and will begin developing retail and media outlets in the New England states as early as March, 2006. According to MCM Vice President of Marketing and Promotion, Nick Baird, the move comes as a result of the forth coming release of the much anticipated debut album of Steven Hall.

Steven Hall is the twenty-one year old singer/songwriter from Valdosta, GA who was discovered by MCM-Nashville President, T. Layron Johnson back in October of 2005. Johnson had been invited to the studio to listen to some demos which had been recorded by Hall earlier that month. In a recent interview with IAIRA, Johnson was asked how he happened to find the young sensation. He answered, “I went over to Stonewall (Stonewall Recording Studio) to listen to some songs to record on an artist that we’d signed back in July. But, when I heard the demos, I was just blown out of my chair! I knew that there was something unique and special about this kid’s voice and his writing style so we signed him as an artist. With his talent, looks, stage presence and charisma, he’s got all the ingredients to be a huge hit in the music business and its already happening in the southern states on the college circuit”.

The Steven Hall debut album was recorded over a period of four months and includes twelve songs, all of which were written either by Steven himself or we’re co-written by Steven and veteran songwriter/producer, Mark Carman. The album’s credits read like a who’s-who in modern country music and features some of the greatest musicians on the planet. Session leader, Bruce Watkins appears on acoustic guitar, fiddle and banjo, Drums: Jerry Kroon and Keith Brogdon, Electric Guitar: Kelly Back and Audley Freed, Bass Guitar: Jimmy Carter and Justin Tockett, Piano: Pig Robins, Ron Oates, Jeff Armstrong, and Mark Carman, Synthesizer: Jeff Armstrong. Percussion: Jimmy Brown and Terry McMillan Steel Guitar: Mike Johnson and Scott Sanders, Background vocals: John Wesley Ryles and Joni Twitty, Engineers include: John Nicholson, Jim Stewart and Matt Johnson. The project was recorded at three different studios in Nashville; Stonewall, Hilltop Recording Studio and the world famous OceanWay Recording Studio.

MCM-Nashville is extremely proud to be releasing The Steven Hall Debut Project and is excited to have the opportunity to debut this phenomenal young break-out artist to the world.
