Jigsaw Data Corp. Appoints New VP of Engineering: Ed Komo to Lead All Development and Engineering Functions
Jigsaw Data Corp., the online marketplace for buying, selling and trading business contact information, appointed Ed Komo to lead all development and engineering functions as the new VP of engineering.
San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2006 -- Jigsaw Data Corporation, the online global marketplace for buying, selling and trading business contact information, announced that it has appointed Ed Komo as vice president of engineering. Ed will apply his e-commerce experience at Hotwire.com and AllBusiness.com. to oversee all development and engineering functions of the Jigsaw technology platform, along with business intelligence, the data warehouse, accounting, backoffice reconciliation systems and operations.
“The Jigsaw database is expanding by 10,000 new contacts a day, drawing an increasing amount of activity in the marketplace as members buy, sell, and trade these fresh contacts,” said Jim Fowler, CEO and co-founder of Jigsaw. “Ed’s experience in building the highly trafficked Hotwire.com site will be pivotal in handling the constantly increasing volumes of traffic to the Jigsaw site.”
Ed Komo joins Jigsaw from Hotwire.com, one of the most popular travel sites worldwide, where he was the vice president of engineering. Prior to Hotwire, Ed served as chief architect for 2Logix Corp, where he designed the company's technology platform. He has also held senior engineering and management positions at AllBusiness.com, Context Integration, Oracle Corporation and Honeywell Bull.
Ed holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
