Mr. Burt Walker of Hermosa Beach, Calif., has been selected by the National Republican Congressional Committee to receive the 2005 Ronald Reagan Republican Gold Medal.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced today that Mr. Burt Walker of Hermosa Beach, Calif., has been selected as the recipient of the 2005 Ronald Reagan Republican Gold Medal.

U.S. Representative Tom Reynolds (R-NY), Chairman of the NRCC, stated, "Mr. Walker has long supported Republican ideals, like debt reduction and tax reform as they relate to the growth and stability of small business in this country. I look forward to Mr. Walker's continued participation as a key member of the Committee and offer my congratulations on the award."

Those who are selected to receive the Ronald Reagan Republican Gold Medal participate in periodic strategy briefings to provide input on economic and tax issues, as well as how to build broad-based support for conservative initiatives within the business community.
