The Ladies of the Women's Bassmaster Tour are Florida Bound for the Citgo Bassmaster Classic
The ladies won’t be left out when Professional bass fishing's premier event, the Bassmaster Classic, takes place this week at Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee, Florida along with the Classic ESPN Outdoors Expo at the Orlando Orange County Convention Center.
Hot Springs, AR (PRWEB) February 21, 2006 -- While there are not actually any female competitors in the Classic, the women of the WBT, Women’s Bassmaster Tour will been seen throughout the exhibit hall helping to staff exhibit booths and interactive displays. The ladies will enhance everyone's Expo experience with their expertise and angling knowledge.
The WBT will have a booth where prospective lady anglers can learn more about the tour. Under the direction of Kathy Magers, WBT consultant, it will be hosted by respected female professional anglers including Judy Wong of Many Louisiana who is a back-to-back women's world champion, Pam Martin-Wells of Bainbridge, Georgia who is the leading all time money winner in women's bass fishing, JoNell Whitstine, of Pineville, Louisiana and her daughter Sammie Jo Denyes of Baker, Florida who were Angler of the Year and Amateur of the Year respectively in the 2000 Women’s Bass Fishing Association tour. There will different anglers each day and at different times.
Professional Angler, Jan Jones Heavener of Sherwood, Arkansas who was the first lady to sign up for the new WBT tour, said, ”I am looking forward to being there to see all of the new things and connecting with old friends. It is going to be very exciting.” Susan Wild, a Washington DC Attorney who fishes the Co-Angler side said, “I wouldn’t miss it for anything. It is really quite an experience which is executed with a high degree of professionalism.”
