Do you remember the hours you spent playing Table Hockey tournaments as a kid? The clang of the metal players is heard as the oversized puck is whipped into a frenzy, and the goalie crashes from side to side valiantly trying to keep the puck out of the net. Little boys grow up, but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring back the magic of the Table Hockey of your youth -- albeit on a much grander scale.

Artizan Games (, a Canadian company located in Toronto Ontario, now produces Table Hockey Games that look like fine furniture, and are on a much larger scale than the game you played as a kid--making the game even more exciting and intense. In the Classic by Artizan® Table Hockey Game, the players are surprisingly realistic and molded in 3-D resin. In addition, the control rods are custom made of a fibre-graphite composite, and the bushings are self lubricated with stainless steel gear drives. Furthermore, the nets are made with real mesh, and the ice surface is a full seven feet long. And the fully electronic gondola offers a sophisticated way to keep track of the game stats, thus, helping you focus on the game and not the act of scorekeeping.

Perhaps the best thing about the Classic by Artizan® Table Hockey Game is that up to six players can get in on the action at the same time because the Hockey Table Top is so large. You could almost crawl up on the table and go for a skate on the lightning fast play surface. Tim Horton would be proud.

“We played an hour of Hockey on the Classic version and it’s easy to get hooked. Everyone seems to be jockeying to get in on the game and it becomes the focal point of any family games room. Inscribed on the game’s bronze emblem is the Artizan slogan “Play for Real”™ …and now we know why,” continues Nick Wilson.

The Classic by Artizan® Table Hockey Game has been the head presentation piece at the annual Conn Smythe Sports Dinner and was signed by the “great one”-- Wayne Gretzky and other national stars. “More than a few pro players have one of these in their recreation room” says Byberg. An industry tournament featuring Borje Salming of Toronto Maple Leaf fame will be held in Stockholm Sweden March 6, 2006. Artizan Games is supplying the Hockey equipment and ice surface, so to speak.
