Snapchef is a hospitalityTraining and Staffing Agency/Firm that has had a meteoric rise in the past four years in supplying temp help to the largest venues in New England. Having outgrown their Brookline offices they have decided to join the South Boston community. “We’re amazed and delighted by the reception we’re getting from the mayor’s office, from the South Boston community and our clients in Boston” says Todd Snopkowski, owner of Snapchef.

Snapchef is teaming up with The South Boston Resource Center to provide Snapchef training and job development opportunities for the Boston residents within the empowerment zone and beyond. In addition Snapchef has teamed up with The Back Streets Program, a Boston Redevelopment Authority initiative. The Back Streets Program will help Snapchef establish its South Boston Training facilities and thereby assist residents to

enter and/or progress in the hospitality industry.

The Snapchef South Boston Training & Staffing Center located at the new headquarters on 239 Dorchester Street, in the heart of South Boston.

“We’ve been working with these folks for a couple of years, becoming neighbors and a member of the community makes a huge difference” says Ed Christian, Snapchef VP of Operations and General Manager. “We’ve always taken pride in the fact that we pre-screen, our people before sending them on jobs, doing more & more training of the Snapchef crew for waiters, bartenders, utility, cooks and more. Also, Snapchef employees are not contract labor as with other services. We will continue to provide ServSafe Certification, TIPS Certification along with a variety of courses for our motivated employees require to better help our clients. Doing this with these community groups is very rewarding.”

Snapchef now services Boston Convention Centers, The World Trade Center, The Seaport Hotel, The Westin Hotels, Sodexho and more. With this base of clients employees get a chance to work with the best in these industries. The benefits to the customer of their unique temp to perm program are many, not the least of which are that they get to try out the employee before making a long term commitment.
