Dunn&Co. Wins Impressive Array of ADDY® Awards, Including Nine Gold ADDYs® and One Best of Bay

In business just two and a half years, Dunn&Co. registers a third impressive performance at the 2006 ADDY® Award Gala

Dunn&Co. harvested a significant crop of awards for the third year in a row Saturday, picking up 15 ADDYs®, including nine gold ADDYs® and a Best of Bay award at the annual Tampa Bay Advertising Federation’s ADDY® Award Gala.

The awards reflected work done in a variety of media, including print, out-of-home, promotions, radio and design.

“Dunn&Co. has been in business less than three years, and this is the third year in a row that we’ve ranked near the top at the ADDY® awards,” said Troy Dunn, Dunn&Co.’s founder and president. “It proves that we consistently turn out high-quality creative work on behalf of our clients, and we are very proud of that.”

Dunn&Co.’s Best of Bay Award was earned for a print ad campaign on behalf of The Melting Pot restaurant chain. Additionally, four gold ADDY® awards were earned for Melting Pot projects; three other golds were earned for work done on behalf of Shell’s Seafood Restaurants, and two other gold ADDYs® were earned for work done on behalf of Shakolad Chocolate Factory franchises.

Dunn&Co. also earned two silver ADDYs® for other Melting Pot work, and two others for Shell’s projects. An additional project for Shakolad earned Dunn&Co. its final Silver ADDY®.

“Of course, our focus is always on driving our client’s sales,” Dunn said. “But we can’t help but feel very proud when our creative work is recognized by our peers.”

It was the third consecutive year that Dunn&Co. turned heads at the ADDY® Awards. In 2005, Dunn&Co. earned 13 ADDYs®. In 2004, after being open for less than 6 months, the agency won 15 ADDYs, including eight Silver ADDYs®, five Gold ADDYs® and two Best of Bay Awards.

The award ceremonies were held this year at the Tampa Convention Center.

The American Advertising Federation ADDY® Awards is the world's largest and toughest advertising competition. Every year, more than 60,000 entries are fielded through fifteen districts and the 200 member clubs. The competition is three-tiered with local, regional and national/international levels.

According to the Tampa Bay Advertising Federation, the Tampa area ADDY® Awards recognize and showcase the Tampa Bay area’s most creative advertising talent. Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges selected from around the country. The entries were submitted by advertising agencies, design boutiques, in-house marketing departments and freelance creative talent from around the area.
