West Coast Sports Collectors Expo Reports Record Attendance and Record Sales

The February West Coast Sports Collectors Expo (WCSCE) was a record show in terms of attendance and sales. The promoters of the event, Hall of Fame Sports & NAXCOM.com, reported that the three day attendance was the largest in the 10 year history of the show with many of the 250 Exhibitors reporting record-breaking sales as well.

(PRWEB) February 23, 2006 -- This past weekend (2/10-12) was a record show at the 24th West Coast Sports Collectors Expo (WCSCE) at the Hollywood Park Casino & Convention Center. The promoters of the event, Hall of Fame Sports & NAXCOM.com, reported record crowds and great sales for all of the 250 exhibitors at the event. "I have been promoting shows since 1989 and I have never seen crowds that large over the three days and as a result, every single dealer had great sales; including many who had record sales” said co-promoter Eric Beckerman CEO of NAXCOM.com.

Rob Veres of Burbank Sportscards remarked, "The Hollywood Park Show is always a tremendous buying event for me. This weekend's event was one of the very best. There were tons of quality dealers selling product that I needed at prices that I wanted to pay. I couldn't buy enough!" Steve Rochhi of Global Authentication added, "This was Global Authentication's best Hollywood Park Show ever. Our in-person autograph authentication table had long lines all weekend and we approached record numbers for Card Grading and Vintage Card Submissions”.

As always, Hall of Fame Sports brought in a great slate of guests including Joe Montana, Kirk Gibson, Frank Robinson, Paul Horning and Reggie Bush -making his first signing appearance ever!

NAXCOM.com, who sets up computers at the show to sign-up new users to their Online Marketplace, also introduced collectors to their newest site – ThePit.com, which they acquired from Topps earlier this year. "We now offer two great options, for sports collectors we have NAXCOM and for sports investors - The Pit. Not only were we able to sign up new users on NAXCOM, but we were also able to introduce, and in some cases, reintoduce, sports collectors to The Pit as well.” said Bill Elder V.P. Marketing for NAXCOM.

In less than four years, NAXCOM.com has grown to over 100,000 registered users and according to Alexa rankings (www.alexa.com), NAXCOM is now the #1 sports collectibles site on the Internet, surpassing even Beckett!

The next shows at Hollywood Park are June 2-4 and then August 25-27. For autograph information contact Hall of Fame Sports at 909.592.1357 or visit HallofFameSports.com.
