Premature Hair Loss? Could Be Ringworm

There has been a link discovered between childrens hair loss and untreated cases of ringworm.

Memphis, TN (PRWEB) February 23, 2006 -- Untreated ringworm is often to blame for hair loss in children, Indiatimes Health reported in a recent article. Ringworm, also known as Tinea, is contagious and can be passed between children if parents aren’t careful.

There are many treatments available to concerned parents, such as antifungal ointment, lotion, or prescription-strength medications. Unfortunately, they can often prove to be ineffective. There are also herbal treatments, such as FungRx, available for parents who are concerned with side-effects and are afraid to use harsh chemicals on their child’s skin.

One company in Memphis believes they have a natural alternative to harsh or unsuccessful medications. A spokesman for Selmedica Healthcare Corporation said, “Ordinary creams and lotions only set on top of ringworm sores, temporarily relieving their symptoms and never reaching the source. FungRx penetrates deep below your skin’s first layer and seeps under ringworm sores to float them out of your skin for good.”

John Stark, from Galena, IL was concerned side effects of ringworm treatments. “I must be very cautious of what items I choose to use when I combat fungal infections and I can say this topical oil was a definite good purchase.”

“It has been less than a week, and I have been very impressed. I have had a direct dramatic improvement to the point of restored skin appearance at the original location of the ringworm infection site,” Stark said.
