Free Online Camp Guide Connects California Parents With Camps Statewide

Now, using a free online guide to California camps, California parents can locate just the right camp to fit their child’s interests. For the first time this year, CampsAtoZ.com, which recently expanded from Arizona, will include a comprehensive listing of summer camps throughout California in its successful online summer camp guide. The convenient website is free to parents and requires no registration. Camps can list basic information about their camp at no charge or, for a minimal fee, include expanded information and links to their website.

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 23, 2006 -- Summer has a way of creeping up on parents. Before they know it, it is time to plan activities for the summer break. Now, using a free online guide to California camps, California parents can locate just the right camp to fit their child’s interests. For the first time this year, CampsAtoZ.com will include a comprehensive listing of summer camps throughout California in its successful online summer camp guide. The convenient website is free to parents and requires no registration. Camps can list basic information about their camp at no charge or, for a minimal fee, include expanded information and links to their website. It is the best of all worlds for camps and parents alike. Camp operators gain access to parents and parents see CampsAtoZ.com as the answer to a prayer – one-stop shopping for summer activities.

In response to an enthusiastic demand, CampsAtoZ’s creator Julia James expanded her successful niche website this year to include listings throughout California. “We wanted to duplicate in California what we did in Arizona,” she commented. “Arizona parents have come to rely on CampsAtoZ.com for locating just the right camp. It’s that comprehensive. Duplicating the concept in California and focusing on including extensive listings of California camps will give busy California parents the same advantages Arizona parents have been enjoying for three years. I think they will love it.”

We wanted to duplicate in California what we did in Arizona
CampsAtoZ.com includes hundreds of listings for camps in California and Arizona—and beyond— that satisfy almost any interest. Camps found in the guide include both day and overnight camps for children from pre-K to eighteen and they run the gamut from basketball and gymnastics to forestry and weight loss camps. Using the site’s built-in search engine, parents can easily locate a camp that matches their child’s age and interests.

Camps can list their programs online at CampsAtoZ.com by completing a form that includes basic information about location, cost, duration, hours, ages accepted and other pertinent data. There are three listing categories available for camps. Unlike other national camp websites, the free listing includes basic camp information in addition to the standard name and telephone contact number. For a minimal fee, that listing can be expanded to a paid listing that provides regular website traffic reports and a link to the camp website. Finally, the premium Gold Listing includes a more detailed description of the camp, color photo, logo, and appropriate links to the camp’s web site and email address.

Over the last three years, CampsAtoZ.com.com has listed hundreds of the best and most interesting camps available, enabling parents to find fun summer experiences anywhere in the state. Each year, the website receives high praise and numerous e-mails from relieved parents, many of whom use CampsAtoZ.com several times over the season. Now as CampsAtoZ.com begins its fourth full year of operation, it is listing more camps than ever. The camps include special needs, athletics, educational, religious, and many other themes. With so many camps listed, no child should have to utter that all-too-frequent summer complaint, “Mom, I’m bored!”

The idea for CampsAtoZ.com originated with Julia James, President of Corfe Marketing Group who, having spent countless hours searching for summer activities for her own family, discovered that other parents faced the same situation. Determined to create an easy-to-use central source of camp information, she developed CampsAtoZ.com and introduced it in February 2003. “CampsAtoZ.com is a solution for every parent who needs to find fun and more positive activities to occupy their children during the summer,” she commented.

Corfe Marketing Group, a woman-owned business, is a Scottsdale marketing consulting boutique. Owner Julia James has an MBA in marketing and over twenty years of experience in marketing. Her expertise includes market research and marketing communications in medical products, consumer goods and consulting.
