World's Leading Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Community Exceeds 10,000 Members

The world's leading online ADHD and Disorder Support Community acheived another milestone this week by welcoming its 10,000th member, more than doubling its membership in less than six months.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 25, 2006 -- This week the world's leading online ADHD and Disorder Support Community acheived another milestone by welcoming its 10,000th member, effectively doubling its membership in less than six months.

Attention Deficit Disorder, also known as ADD, ADHD and AD/HD, is a very common condition which is becoming better known through education of the public via the Internet and the Media. The "H" in ADHD means hyperactivity and is included in the disorder. According to recent studies, approximately 5% of children and 4.3% of the U.S. adult population, have ADHD. Chances are that in one way or another the average person is affected by ADHD. A person’s co-worker, spouse, grandchild, sibling, employee or anybody else for that matter may have ADHD.

Many people who are affected by Attention Deficit Disorder are looking for support and information. Over 7500 people have found an online community to receive both information and support about ADHD and comorbid disorders. Other co-existing conditions discussed at the ADD Forums include Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Learning Disorders, and Tourettes Syndrome. Members of www.addforums.com have found a place where they can finally feel supported and gain more of an understanding about these and other disorders.

With the assistance of an international team of volunteers, the ADD Forums has grown into a thriving online Support Community with more than 10,000 registered participants, and tens of thousands of visitors.
