Juliette Weiland & Co. received a Gold Award in the MarCom Creative Awards competition for its media placement of “Off the Grid,” a story about OfficePower, LLC, a leading provider of on-site power and cogeneration services to multi-tenant office buildings in Manhattan. The winning entry positioned the company, headquartered in Norwalk, Conn., as a trendsetter in distributive generation, an industry still in its early stages.
The MarCom Creative Awards Program is an international competition allied with The Communicator Awards, Arlington, Texas. Over 4,600 entries were judged this year,with close to 650 Platinum Awards and 700 Gold Awards given in 220 categories.
According to Juliette Weiland, principal of Juliette Weiland & Co., this is the sixth award in international competition won by her company. Other awards include an APEX 2005 Award in “Public Relations & Information Writing” for her promotion of a local United Way’s efforts to support Kids Start Smart, a school readiness initiative; and an APEX 2004 for “Columns & Editorials” for her “Public Relations for Small Business” column that appears monthly in The Hour, a daily newspaper in Norwalk, Conn.
Past credits also include an Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards 2003 Print Media competition, plus awards from the Connecticut Press Club and the American Lung Association of Connecticut.
Juliette Weiland is a past president of the Connecticut Press Club and the Public Relations Society of America, Westchester/Fairfield Chapter.
