Eduventures, the leading consulting and information services firm for the education market, announced today that Margaret Andrews, the Executive Director of the MIT Sloan School of Management, will be joining Eduventures as the Vice President of Strategy & Marketing. This announcement comes on the heels of Eduventures securing strategic investment to support its expansion plans.
Ms. Andrews was Executive Director of the MIT Sloan School of Management during a period of historic growth and advancement for the institution. During this time, she led a number of successful initiatives, including accelerating recruitment and admissions domestically and internationally; improving alumni relations; and presiding over one of the most dramatic two-year increases in the school’s BusinessWeek (from #15 to #4) and Wall Street Journal (from #38 to #9) rankings. She will apply her vast experience and proven track record to advancing Eduventures’ leadership role in the education market through heightened brand recognition, member acquisition and retention, conference development and attendance, and additional high-profile consulting arrangements.
“Ms. Andrews will be a significant contributor to our growth strategy. Her experience will not only serve Eduventures well, but it will also be an invaluable resource to our clients,” said Thomas Dretler, President and CEO of Eduventures.
Prior to MIT, Ms. Andrews had a distinguished career serving as Vice President of Marketing for Putnam Investments, after serving as a Senior Associate at Mercer Management Consulting, where she assisted clients in the areas of executive education, strategy formulation and communication, marketing strategy, and new product development. As a Certified Public Accountant, she also worked for Deloitte & Touche. Ms. Andrews received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
“Both the funding and the addition of outstanding talent, like Ms. Andrews, will be what drives our expansion of Eduventures’ leadership role in delivering intelligence, consulting and high-level collaboration opportunities to educational institutions and the vendors that serve them,” continued Dretler.
