Pacific Poker’s Mac online poker software will now detect Macintosh operating systems and automatically customize to a Mac specific poker software upon visiting the site.

Pacific Poker’s software goes hi-tech as the Mac compatible poker software will automatically detect Mac users upon visiting their homepage at giving new Mac software users $100.

The website can detect whether the operating system is being used by a Mac or not. As soon as the visitor views the website, Mac users will see a different landing page than Windows users. Pacific Poker says they are the only software that currently has this technology in use.

Pacific Poker’s Mac software previously would direct Mac poker players to the Windows based homepage where most Mac users would get lost trying to find the “No Download” software. With the new technology the landing page that Mac poker players will see is a crisp screen that says “Mac OS X Online Poker Games”. The site then lists all the poker games at the site. Windows users will not be able to view this homepage as they will not get detected as a Mac user.

Pacific Poker states that all the features such as the forum and the poker school will still be available to Mac users. The $100 bonus given to real money players upon opening a real account will also still be given to Mac poker users playing Pacific Poker’s new Mac poker software.

The Mac poker room may be seeing pressure from places such as Full Tilt which is also offering a Mac compatible poker room giving new users even bigger bonuses using sign up bonus code “Macintosh”. Pacific Poker says they offer their bonus instantly unlike the other Mac poker rooms. All Mac poker software can be seen at

Pacific Poker’s Mac software runs on Java and is not a downloadable form. The software runs in the browser and the most popular tournaments include the $50k guaranteed tournament and the daily World Series of Poker qualifiers. (
