Lollipop Theater Network Receives Civic Award at the Executive Council of New York's Annual Ten Awards -- Honored at Forum Saluting Innovation and Leadership in Business

Lollipop Theater Network, a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to bringing the magic of movies to the children who need it most, recently received a special "Judge’s Award" at the Executive Council of New York’s "Ten Awards" Gala - an annual forum saluting innovation and leadership in business at Cipriani Wall Street. The New York Ten Awards is hosted by The Executive Council of New York, a non-profit organization that brings together New York's business community for the purposes of fostering knowledge-sharing and business networking in a professional environment.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 1, 2006 -- Janis Schodowski, president of Lollipop Theater Network, (http://www.lollipoptheater.org)a not-for-profit foundation dedicated to bringing the magic of movies to the children who need it most, received a special "Judge’s Award" at the Executive Council of New York’s annual "Ten Awards" Gala at Cipriani Wall Street recently. The New York Ten Awards is hosted each year by The Executive Council of New York, a non-profit organization that brings together New York's business community for the purposes of fostering knowledge-sharing and business networking in a professional environment.

The “Top Ten” award recipients are based on a selection from over 130 nominations submitted to The Executive Council and evaluated by a panel of judges comprised of prominent journalists from New York-based local and national business media outlets. Nominations are evaluated based on the individual’s contributions to his or her organization’s objectives and leadership; the organization’s impact on business innovation, both in New York and nationally; and the individual’s industry leadership beyond his organization.

Lollipop Theater Network, founded in 2001, works in collaboration with movie studios to screen current G, PG and PG-13 movie releases in hospitals for children with serious illness.
