Mind Body Psychologist Teaches Building Self Esteem Tips to Holistic Moms
2-6% of American children try to kill themselves each year. Instead of drugging unhappy children use mind- body mental health services and holistic health tools that build solid, physical self esteem. Holistic psychology offers a drug free way to keep children creative, productive and happy.
Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) March 7, 2006 -- 2-6% of American children try to kill themselves each year. Every day six million children, some as young as two, are given Ritalin and other stimulants at the urging of school officials and psychiatrists. Instead of drugging unhappy children or energetic children, use mind body mental health and holistic health tools that build solid self esteem. Wednesday, March, 29th, Holistic Moms sponsors licensed psychologist, Dr. Doris Jeanette's talk, "Building Self Esteem in Children Must Include the Body and Emotions."
Children are conditioned to pay attention to massive amounts of outside stimuli at a very early age; as a result, they learn to please adults. This means they are not taught how to pay attention to their own basic needs or meet their own emotional needs. Children need to learn to listen to their internal stimuli and learn how to meet their own emotional needs. To succeed they must be aware of their body and their feelings. Holistic psychologist, Doris Jeanette’s talk highlights these and other essential ingredients children need in order to build authentic self esteem and avoid the need for drugs or suicide.
Holistic Moms is a national group of mothers actively involved in raising, strong, healthy children. Jennifer Quinn of the Philadelphia chapter says that, " Our purpose is to parent naturally so we continually educate ourselves and our families about alternative health, mindful parenting, and natural healing." Each month experts talk to Holistic Moms so they learn child developmental and child educational ideas they can use to raise healthy children. Topics range from holistic health remedies to relationship advice to mind- body psychology.
Dr. Jeanette's "A Natural Process for Opening the Heart - Your Emotional Guide to Self Esteem" teaches holistic moms and dads how to pay attention to internal stimuli and meet their basic needs so that they can model vibrant emotional health and solid self esteem for their children.
