Progressive Women’s Network, Inc. (www.houstonpwn.org), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, will host its annual golf tournament April 29th at Cypresswood Golf Club, 21602 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 1, 2006 -- Progressive Women’s Network, Inc. (www.houstonpwn.org), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, will host its annual golf tournament April 29th at Cypresswood Golf Club, 21602 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX. Golfers have the opportunity not only to compete for prizes at one of the metroplex's top golf courses, but also to support a worth cause. Every year Progressive Women’s Network, will select a unique charity with diminutive exposure to benefit from the annual golf tournament. This year’s beneficiary is Bo’s place. Bo’s Place (www.bosplace.org) offers unique programs that assist children ages 2 and up who are grieving from the death of a parent or sibling.
Unlike a majority of golf tournaments hosted at premier Houston golf courses, Progressive Women’s Network, Inc. has chosen a Saturday to host the event. The President and CEO, Felica Bradford said Bo’s Place is an extraordinary organization and we are excited to offer a non- weekday golf event for both experienced golfers and those interested in learning the game of golf. It is an opportunity for Houston corporate, business leaders, and Houstonians to support women, their families and their communities.

Tournament participants will enjoy a festive Luau atmosphere featuring a Martini Bar on the 10th hole, tropical beverages, raffles and door prizes. Prizes will be given for the longest drive, closest to the pin, the putting contest, and the hole in one grand prize, a new 2006 Honda Pilot, courtesy of Russell & Smith Auto Group of Houston, TX.

Registration begins at 10:00 am with the shotgun start set for 12:30 p.m. Players of all ability levels are encouraged to participate, and spots are still available for both individual players and foursomes. The Tournament Player package includes 18 holes of golf, green fees, golf cart, balls, two door prize tickets, team photographs, snacks, cocktails, awards ceremony, and dinner for $98 per individual or $375 per team of four. The New Golfers package offers a one hour introduction to golf lesson, complimentary snacks and beverages, awards ceremony and dinner for $39 per individual.

Progressive Women’s Network is currently seeking sponsorship from corporations and local businesses. Those interested in sponsorship information, registering as an entertainer/artist, volunteer or for tournament tickets, may contact Ariella A. Haggard, Golf Tournament Chair, at 713-540-7865.
