Launched under the brand name “MyVoice”, the new TM service permits fixed line users to record and send short voice messages to any phone user, fixed or mobile. By dialing a 4-digit short-code (1555#), MyVoice offers a quick and more personal alternative to typing messages. Plus it provides the receiver with the option of replying by pressing the "#" button. Thanks to TelcoBridges' innovative technology, additional features such as background music, sound effects and other greetings are easily accommodated, so enhancing the customer voice messaging experience. MyVoice is one of the world’s first voice SMS services to be deployed by a fixed line operator.

"The Voice SMS system deployed at TM demonstrates the versatility of TelcoBridges' hardware and software," said Gaetan Campeau, President, Founder and Executive Vice-President, Worldwide Sales, TelcoBridges Inc. "By using TelcoBridges' innovative products TAB was able to develop a reliable, cost-effective and inherently scalable Voice SMS as a direct result of TelcoBridges’ technology."

"There are many advantages to this new service enhancement," said Abdul Malek Aziz, TAB’s Head of Marketing, "It provides a value-added experience for both TM’s HomeLine and BusinessLine subscribers, by offering them alternative ways to communicate, without the necessity of signing up for the service, as this is a pay-as-you-go service option. It also allows TM’s customers the choice of sending their special, personalized voice message to one individual, or to a group of recipients. Plus it is available nationwide at a flat rate, making it less expensive than other market alternatives."

"The service has been very well accepted by large organizations, the public sector and the visually-impaired, all of whom find it very fast and easy to send short voice messages to single or multiple numbers", added Abdul Malek Aziz.

TAB is now marketing this flexible feature-rich Voice SMS system globally. This means any service provider deploying this VCS system from TAB can immediately offer their end-customers more value-added options so as to provide a much more personal user experience. In addition, they benefit from the innovative and extremely flexible system architecture, which allows them to scale effortlessly at their own pace only when their market demand warrants it.

Always responsive to customer demand, TAB is further leveraging the TelcoBridges' technology to develop a voice messaging on-line portal offering the convenient broadcasting of voice messages to phone users via the Internet. An April launch is planned.

TelcoBridges' Voice (including TTS, IVR, conferencing, recording, etc) products are non-blocking, highly scalable and provide superior voice and music quality. OEM’s, system integrators and fixed and mobile operators can easily scale their systems according to the number of voice services to be activated at any given time.

TelcoBridges' innovative platform architecture can also be configured to support other advanced services such as audio and video ringback tones, background audio injection, conferencing, as well as on-demand audio and video streaming.

"We are very pleased by TAB’s success," said Campeau, "They are an exciting applications developer and repeat customer of ours with whom we have a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship."

"Plus we are noting significant interest in this type of value-added IVR system, especially in Asia, whose consumers are very open to innovative voice services. This type of fun service, as it becomes more widely known, is driven by consumer demand, which can take off exponentially. This means application providers and system integrators should look to develop their offerings on highly scalable, reliable systems, such as ours, so as to be able to respond to their customers’ needs swiftly, easily and extremely cost-effectively," concluded Campeau.
