TV Show Documents Infertility Struggles

A documentary film crew in Ireland plans to follow 30 women as they attempt to overcome their infertility.

Memphis, TN (PRWEB) March 4, 2006 -- A new TV program in Ireland will follow 30 women as they struggle to have children, the Daily Record reported. Fifty percent of women who wait until after they’re 35 to have children will be unable to, said fertility expert Dr Gillian Blackwood.

Not being able to conceive can be one of life’s biggest struggles for many women, and they will often try anything to help improve their chances to become pregnant. Unfortunately fertility drugs, fertility cycle monitoring, and ovulation calculators don’t always work. There is also fear that the in vitro fertilization treatments they use could result in birth defects.

Sherry Hollingsworth considered in vitro fertilization after treatments for Hodgkin's Lymphoma left her struggling to conceive. “I was determined to overcome this infertility battle. I took three rounds of Clomid and it didn't work. I considered IUI and IVF, but was uneasy about the whole process.”

Hollingsworth turned to herbal supplements. “After only taking Ovulex for one month, I finally got pregnant,” she said.

A spokesman for Selmedica Healthcare Corporation said, “Ovulex is completely natural and has no harmful side effects. Taken daily, it has been proven 93% successful in women seeking to become pregnant.”
