Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) March 3, 2006
The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that DoubleStar, Inc., a leading provider of workforce analytics solutions and Hyperion Solutions Corporation, a global leader in business performance management software, will jointly sponsor HCI's Human Capital Analytics learning and research track. The track is one of several topics addressed in HCI's Talent Leadership community of interest, a community HCI considers critical to organizations working to build competitive advantage.
Although the Business Intelligence (BI) industry is booming as organizations strive to boost productivity and drive performance through metrics, scorecards, planning, and advanced statistical analysis, most implementations to date have taken a narrow or "siloed" approach. Tools have been deployed to monitor financial and logistical performance, but they are under-utilized where talent is concerned.
"Business Intelligence has strategic value in talent management. This learning track explores how organizations can improve decision-making effectiveness around human capital," said Allan Schweyer, executive director at HCI. "We're pleased that DoubleStar and Hyperion recognize the importance of better utilizing BI tools and are supporting our efforts in this area."
The Human Capital Analytics learning and research track focuses on BI from a talent management standpoint, examining how BI tools can be used in areas such as workforce demographics, staffing, compensation, development, competencies and workforce planning and modeling. A panel of expert advisors will examine new methods, trends, and best practices in human capital analytics. Webcasts, white papers, education, and other resources provide human capital professionals with information to help them better understand how analytics can be applied to talent management to achieve optimum results.
"Organizations that utilize appropriate tools in order to manage talent have significant advantage over their competitors," said Brian Kelly, managing director of DoubleStar. "DoubleStar supports the Human Capital Institute's focus on this area and their efforts to help organizations understand the importance of business intelligence as it relates to talent management."
"As an organization, Hyperion focuses on business performance management. We believe that a strong workforce is a key competitive advantage in the marketplace and critical to driving performance management," said Steve McMahon, vice president of Human Resources at Hyperion. "For this reason, we are very pleased to support HCI's Human Capital Analytics track."
