MCM-NASHVILLE announces the signing of Christian performing and recording artist, Mike Cowart, to an exclusive management and recording contract. Cowart, the former band leader and lead guitarist for the award winning Christian artist, CARMAN, will become MCM’s debut artists to represent its new Christian Division. Throughout his career, Mike Cowart has toured extensively across the United States and Europe, spreading a message of hope and deliverance to the youth of the world. Although his music and his message are targeted toward a younger, more contemporary audience, his performance is appealing to older audiences as well.

An accomplished musician, Mike Cowart, has performed along side numerous other notable artists including; Amy Grant, Dr. Tony Evans, Kim Hill, and Don Porter to name a few. He has appeared at Grand ‘Ol Opry in Glasgow Scotland as well as the home of the Grand Ol Opry in Nashville, The Ryman Auditorium. Also an accomplished song writer, Mike writes a great deal of his own material. One particular song, (probably an upcoming single) titled “Even If I Fall” is reportedly being sung by as many as two hundred church congregations as part of their praise and worship service.

Mike now performs as the lead vocalist and front man for his own group presently known as “The Mike Cowart Band”. The band members include; Drummer Dale Hardiman, Bassist Steve Slate, Guitarist Dane Nistler, Keyboardist Carl Groves and Background Vocalist Talysa McManus.

According to MCM-Nashville Director of Operations, Mark Carman, Mike and the band will be entering the studio sometime in April to begin preproduction on the new upcoming album. Carman said “We are excited about being breaking into the Christian market, it fits quite well with our philosophy as a company and we anticipate wonderful things to come from this expansion”.
