Asset Finance Broker First Independent Finance Appoints Director in Aberdeen

Innes brings a wealth of experience with him, having spent his entire working life in the finance industry, including time with Bowmaker, Forward Trust, HSBC and latterly Clydesdale Bank Asset Finance as sales manager.
A keen golfer, Innes was born and educated in Aberdeen, where he still lives with his wife Lynn. The couple have two daughters, Claire and Amy.
Commenting on his new appointment, Innes said: “This new post will allow me to offer a very flexible asset finance service in Aberdeen and the Grampian region as a whole. I look forward to developing the name and increasing the profile of First Independent Finance Ltd - a very progressive and forward looking company. Gordon D Scott (61) represents First Independent Finance in the Highlands, which is appropriate, as Gordon was born in Nairn and brought up in Helmsdale and Inverness.
Schooled at Inverness Royal Academy, he left to join the then National Commercial Bank. There followed posts with North West Securities and General Guarantee Corporation before becoming a self-employed finance broker in association with Highland Credit & Leasing Services for 15 years.
Gordon joined First Independent Finance in 2002 following an approach by managing director Allan Ross, as he could see the potential with a forward looking company who made the most of IT and training.
Gordon’s interests outside work include gardening, golf - he is a past President of Inverness Golf Club, and Petanque (Boule) - he is Chairman of Inverness Petanque Club and Treasurer of the Scottish Petanque Association.
Gordon lives in Inverness with his wife Pat. The couple have one daughter, Claire.
