"Sales training without the character training becomes manipulation", says Author and Sales Trainer Scott Groves. "All advancing companies understand the need for personal development." Scott even goes on to predict that companies that are not deep into developing their front line salespeople are putting at risk the entire company.

Too many businesses rely too heavily on their front line salespeople without providing them the adequate training. As a sales trainer and consultant to small, medium and blue chip companies, Scott recently came across a $750 Million dollar development that relied on just 3 salespeople to produce the sales.

"Salespeople can make or break a business" Scott says. "It's a well known psychological fact that a salesperson will never outperform what they see themselves earning. The challenge with struggling salespeople is not in teaching new skills, it is getting them to see themselves making more money and more sales. You can teach the best skills in the world to a person but if they still see themselves making just $50,000 a year then that is all they will make."
